WATERAMA 2011

Celebrate a Safe Summer! Welcome in the sun and the swimming season as you learn how to be safe in, on and around water. Check out our kayaking opportunities and swim lesson placement. Hope to see you there!

• Drawings - free water lessons for kayaking/swimming lessons

Time: 4:30-6:00 pm (Swim lesson placement & swim lesson registration)
5:00-8:00 pm (Free Swim)

Fee: Event is FREE due to sponsorship from California Department of Boating and Waterways, The California Kids Plates Fund and the Shasta Drowning Prevention Coalition

Life Jacket Loan Program:

We are partnering with our Fire Stations, Sheriff’s Boating Division and Coast Guard Auxiliary to bring you our Life Jacket Loan Program this Spring and Summer. 

Life Jackets will be available to be loaned for NO cost to you!  Our Firefighters will fit your child or infant with the appropriate sized life jacket to be used for a day out at the lake or on the river. 

Life jackets are already being loaned out during the summer to be used at the Redding Aquatic Center. 

Remember, life jackets are no substitution for parental or guardian supervision, but they are safe and make the day at the lake or on the river much more fun!
